The RTO will measure this against the course in which students are enrolled. A student possessing some of the skills and/or knowledge taught in the course maybe granted credit for a subject, module, course or qualification."
(National Training Information Service, http://www.ntis.gov.au)

If you are interested in RPL please visit our RPL page.

Resources

What are the benefits of your teacher resources packages and the OLE?

Teacher resources packages have been designed to make delivery of the national certified programs simple and easy for classroom implementation. Resource packages contain units of work that divide the programme into simple to use lessons, including details of resources required, delivery times and blank handouts. These are supplemented with Keynote/PowerPoint presentations linked to the units so teachers can easily relate materials to the OLE and practical applications.

The OLE contains all the theory required for underpinning knowledge and skills, allowing teachers and students a quick and easy reference point on content as well as easy to follow activities and assignments to keep students engaged in learning. The OLE can be completed at the student’s own pace which provides for inclusive learning in the classroom allowing the teacher more flexibility to work one on one with students.

Can I get a sample of your materials?

Certainly! Please contact us with your request and we'll send some samples to you as soon as possible.

Can I see a demonstration of the Online Learning Environment?

Certainly! Please contact us with your request and we'll organise a login to the OLE as soon as possible.

Does online learning work?

NTT has done extensive viability studies through research and testing over the past 3 years on the implementation of the OLE; and yes we can say it does work!

Students have accurate information on their progress at the tip of their fingers, they can refer back on content to review information, they have the opportunity to complete activities at their own pace and in their own time. Also, through online chat rooms and forums students can discuss information and ideas with other students as well as industry professionals.

How is the practical training delivered and assessed?

For NTT students practical training is delivered and assessed either through your workplace if you are an apprentice or trainee, through the NTT training venue located on the Gold Coast either independently or through the organised intensive programmes (depending on the individual student’s situation/circumstance). On occasion there is opportunity for candidates to be assessed at other professional venues.

If you are undertaking training within your school, practical delivery and assessment is done within your training environment.

How often do you update your materials?

The OLE is updated regularly to ensure information is current (see product update page) while printed materials are updated at least every time a package review is undertaken by the National Training Information Service, often more regularly.

The product update page shows all changes made to each unit since the time the last printed version was released so you always know where the most current information is.

How are the products supplied?

Teacher Resource Packages are supplied in printed form within hardback ring folders and Keynotes/PowerPoints are supplied on a USB drive for easy access.

OLE materials are provided online via individual student login.

How much do your resources cost?

Pricing is dependent upon student volume and the number/type of units chosen, please contact NTT for further pricing information.

How do I get NTT products in my school/RTO?

All schools and RTO's are able to purchase NTT products. Through this website select the products that you wish to purchase and contact us to place an order.

Alternatively speak to an NTT representative who can assist you with choice and purchase options.

My school isn't a Registered Training Organisation or we don't have the scope to deliver one of your courses but would like to, what do we do?

NTT can assist schools in extending their scope of registration through a consultancy process. This involves auditing your resources (both physical and human) and assisting with the development of a learning and assessment strategy.

Otherwise NTT can formulate a partnership agreement with your school to co deliver the programme. For more information please contact an NTT representative.

Alternatively, individual students can approach NTT to undertake training as one of our students and have this training recognised on their senior certificates.

Do I need to buy the whole Teacher Resource Package again when the training package is reviewed or changed?

National Technical Training’s Teacher Resource Packages are updated in line with changes to the training packages stipulated by government reviews every 3-4 years. If any unit within the resource package changes significantly then re purchase of the updated resource package is required. However, if a government package update occurs within 12 months of you purchasing your materials from NTT we will provide the updated materials free of charge.

Couldn't I just write my own materials?

Of course you could write you own materials but consider these points:
  • Do you have the time to research, write, edit, format and send to industry for currency checks in your already busy schedule?
  • Can you continually update information when technology is advancing at such a fast pace and when the packages change every 3 years?
  • Will you be able to rework all materials for all the units within your scope of registration?
  • Do you really know enough about all of the entertainment industry to write for material for all units?
National Technical Training has a team of people dedicated to continuously writing and updating materials so you don't have to. Using NTT materials allows you to get back to the core quality of your training.
